Some seasons are about building a business. Others are about building people. This year, I found space for both.

As this year comes to a close, I’ve found myself doing a lot of reflecting — not just on my business, but on my family, my community, and where my heart has been pulled this year.
This year looked a little different for us at home. My kids jumped headfirst into sports, and watching them grow through it has been one of my favorite parts of the year.
Junior stepped onto the wrestling mat for the very first time at Puyallup High School, and I don’t think any of us expected how quickly he would fall in love with the sport. Wrestling has challenged him in all the best ways — discipline, perseverance, and hard work. A full-circle moment for our family was realizing his coach was my brother’s best friend growing up. Life really does have a funny way of bringing things back around.
Kole returned to the basketball court for his fourth year with Special Olympics, and if you’ve ever seen him play, you know how much joy that brings him. He has his very first tournament coming up this weekend and could not be more excited. Watching him grow in confidence year after year has been incredibly special.

Every session tells a story, and I’m so grateful to every family who trusted me to capture these milestones. It never gets old being invited into such meaningful moments.
This year also marked a big shift for me personally. I stepped more deeply into my community and began working Sub jobs within the school district. Supporting students — especially those with special needs — holds such a huge place in my heart. This work has been incredibly fulfilling, and it has opened my eyes to just how much support classrooms truly need.
While photography will always be a part of my life, I’ve felt a strong pull toward helping in classrooms where the need is high. I’ve loved this work more than I ever expected, and I’m so excited to continue growing in this space in the new year.
As I head into the next year, I’m carrying a lot of gratitude with me — for my family, my clients, my community, and the opportunities that allow me to serve in ways that truly matter.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me. Here’s to another year of growth, connection, and heart-led work.
